Chandar Sen

Pacific Engineering Projects

Chandar is originally from Sabeto village in Nadi, Fiji. He is married to Rajnish and they have two children daughter Nalisha and son Krishant.

He completed primary  and secondary studies in Fiji before completing his Bachelor of Engineering degree with First Class Honours from Auckland University. His post graduate studies include an Executive Master in Business Administration from the Auckland University, where he was recognised on the Dean’s list for excellence in academic performance.

Chandar is a Chartered member of Engineering New Zealand as well as a Chartered Professional Engineer in New Zealand and Samoa. He is also registered on the International Professional Engineers and APEC registers. In New Zealand he is also a practice area assessor for registration as a Chartered Professional Engineer in New Zealand.

Chandar’s career of nearly 40 years has seen him employed in Fiji by the Fiji Sugar Corporation and Fiji Electricity Authority. Since moving to New Zealand, he worked for a lengthy spell at Robt Stone & Co Ltd and a short stint with Tenix Ltd.  In 2010, he started Pacific Engineering Projects Ltd (PEP), a New Zealand head quartered design and build engineering company working across the Pacific including Fiji. PEP works in the water, wastewater, power generation & distribution, petrochemical and food processing sectors.

Chandar is currently Managing Director of PEP and a director of other private companies in New Zealand and the Pacific. He is the current President of the New Zealand Fiji Business Council.

Anjnish Jokhan

Jokhan Chartered Accountants

Anjnish Jokhan is a Certified Public Practising Accountant currently running her accounting firm in Auckland. Prior to this she worked at several accounting firms in New Zealand before moving to Fiji where she operated and practiced her firm. She has held several directorships in statutory bodies, including Fiji Revenue & Customs Authority.  Anjnish was the Chairperson of Fiji Development Bank Board Review Committee on Corporate Governance. She was the President and Treasurer of the Fiji Institute of Accountant and a branch secretary of the Australia & New Zealand Chartered Accountants.

Anjnish is a member of the Australia & New Zealand Chartered Accountants and a Registered Tax Agent of Inland Revenue Department.  She holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Auckland University.

Arti Chand

Arti is an experienced tax lawyer who set up her sole practice, Arti Chand Tax Law, in 2015 after more than a decade in the private sector.  She provides domestic and international tax consulting advice to SME’s, not for profits, law firms, and high net worth individuals.


In addition, Arti is:

  • Vice President (Wellington) of the New Zealand Law Society;

  • Vice President of the Wellington branch council of the New Zealand Law Society;

  • An executive committee member of the New Zealand Fiji Business Council; 

  • Established member of New Zealand Asian Leaders and New Zealand Asian Lawyers; and 

  • The 2018 Winner of the Pasifika Woman Business Owner Award (Pasifika Business Network).

  • Arti is of Fijian-Indian descent and grew up in Fiji.  As such she is a strong advocate of celebrating the success of Pacific people and businesses in New Zealand.

Dev Nadkarni has had a varied career in the media, creative industries, business, academia and economic development consulting with global and regional organisations working in the Pacific. He is also a director on the Board of the Kasabias Group in Fiji, Strickland Limited in Samoa and Apco Coatings, a boutique paint manufacturer in New Zealand. Earlier, he headed the journalism programme at the University of the South Pacific in Fiji and has founded and edited the Indian Weekender, written for the NZ Herald, Islands Business magazine and several media outlets in NZ, Australia, Fiji, India, the Pacific and Europe.


He covered three NZ Budgets from the Beehive for the National Business Review and has been its Pacific business columnist. He is the secretary of an Auckland based charity that promotes traditional performing arts and helps find performing opportunities for young artistes.

Jeffery Nathan 

Jeffery Nathan is the Senior Account Manager at Aon New Zealand (#1 in Insurance Broking & Risk Management in the World). He has been with Aon for about 23 years (12 years in New Zealand and 11 years in Asia) with approximately 27 years work experience in the insurance industry. Mark Plant

Operations / Contracts Manager


The Fletcher Construction Company Ltd.

Mark Plant is the Operations/Contracts Manager at Fletcher Construction South Pacific, where Mark overseas the delivery of all projects across Polynesia and Melanesia within the Fletcher portfolio, which includes all operations within Fiji.
Mark gained a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) degree from Oxford Brookes University and proceeded to work within the UK industry before moving to New Zealand in 2010. Mark has worked on a number of significant projects for various internationally recognised companies throughout his career with Kvaerner, Skanska, Laing O’Rourke and Fletcher Construction.
Mark is a member of Engineering New Zealand and has been a continuous member of the New Zealand Fiji Business Council since 2017.

Neel Pillay

Neel Pillay is the Associate Director Markets for ANZ NZ.  An experienced Banker having worked for BNZ and ANZ, Neel’s current role sees him provide complex Foreign exchange solutions to Institutional, Corporate and Commercial customers using full range and appropriate use of the Bank’s range of vanilla, derivative and consultative FX products.

Stuart Rhodes

Stuart is the Northern Regional Manager for Spotless, a Downer company. Managing a team of 1200 people throughout the Central and upper North Island, Stuart is responsible for the daily operations of multi-use venues including cafes, schools, venues and stadiums. Having recently joined Downer from AsureQuality he holds a Diploma in Vocational Education and Training and an Executive MBA from the Southern Cross University. He is also a qualified chef holding London City & Guilds 706/1, 2 & 3. Stuart is also involved in a number of community organisations.

Stuart’s role is within the Facilities Services and Utilities division of Downer. Downer is the leading provider of integrated services in Australia and New Zealand, they design, build and sustain assets, infrastructure and facilities.
