New Border Quarantine Case Could Pose A Risk Of Transmission Beyond Border’

We’ve had today circled on the calendar as the one-year mark since our last case of COVID-19 outside of a border quarantine facility. As of today, that record stands. However, yesterday we became aware of a new border quarantine case that could pose a risk of transmission beyond the border which requires immediate steps, from all of us, to mitigate.

Possible travel bubble for Fiji


New Zealand at the moment is not in a formal position to open its borders to Fiji.

However, NZ Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern says they are keeping an eye out for the possibility of a travel bubble with Fiji in the future.

Arden has commended Fiji for containing the COVID-19 virus.
