The NZFBC would  like to invite you to a roadshow briefing with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Hon Biman C. Prasad  for a  discussion on the Fiji Affordable Housing PPP  project to be held on Friday 1 December at 2.00pm, at the offices of New Zealand Trade & Enterprise.

The Deputy Prime Minister will be accompanied by the following personnel.

• Permanent Secretary for Finance, Strategic Planning, National Development & Statistics - Mr. Shiri K. Gounder

• Head of Strategic Planning Office, Ministry of Finance - Mr. Kamal  Gounder

• IFC Transaction Advisor  - Mr. Ritesh Vij

This briefing will provide you with the information on an exciting project initiated by the Government of the Republic of Fiji and is open to anyone with an interest and has expertise with this project.

About: 

The Government of the Republic of Fiji ('Government') has set ambitious goals to increase the supply of affordable and climate-resilient housing. The vision of the Government is to eradicate squatter and informal settlements within the next 10 years. The Ministry of Finance, Strategic Planning, National Development, and Statistics ('Authority') in collaboration with the Ministry of Housing and Housing Authority has identified available land totaling approximately 300 acres in the areas of Nepani, Tavakubu, Wainibuku, Raiwaqa, and Davuilevu for the Project. This initiative aims to supply more than 3,000 housing units that are not only affordable but also climate-resilient, environmentally friendly, and built to withstand Category 5 cyclones.
